The Justice Department and the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania (UJS) have entered into a settlement agreement requiring the UJS to pay $100,000 and take other actions to resolve a DOJ lawsuit. The suit alleged that UJS violated the ADA by preventing individuals under court supervision from taking medication to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). UJS courts will revise policies, train personnel on the ADA, and report on their compliance efforts. To learn more, please read our press release.
