Yaron (Ron) Tov is currently employed at Tov Architectural Consulting, since February 2020, holding the title of Principal Architect. He has over 30 years experience providing architectural services, forensic services, and construction consulting, with special expertise in accessibility, building code, and construction defect issues. Mr. Tov has been a Licensed Architect since 1992 and a State of California Certified Accessibility Specialist (CASp) since 2013.
In addition to providing accessibility reviews for new multi-family housing projects and school renovations, Mr. Tov is currently serving as an Accessibility Compliance Consultant for the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG). He has provided accessibility compliance consulting services in numerous accessibility matters involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA), Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the accessibility requirements of the California Building Code (CBC). As part of his accessibility consulting services, Mr. Tov reviews construction plans and specifications prior to construction for conformance to ADA, CBC, and other accessibility requirements and standards. Additional services include review of product submittals, construction phase inspections, and review of completed facilities to assure accessibility compliance. When requested, Mr. Tov will provide written reports with observations, analysis, and recommendations for achieving greater accessibility.
