Professional Background

Sandi Miles has 29 years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, specializing in site accessibility projects over the last 16 years.  Ms. Miles is a Certified Access Specialist (CASp #346) in the state of California and is certified by the International Code Council as an Accessibility Plans Examiner and Inspector, Registered Access Specialist (RAS), Certified ADA Coordintaor, and certified APA-ADA Specialist. Offering a full range of accessibility compliance including; accessibility site inspections, CASp reports, accessibility plan review, training presentations, training classes, Title II, Title III, and Fair Housing Act review.  In addition, Ms. Miles has worked on a variety of projects from California State prisions, Title II Self Evaluation Transition Plans, public housing, football stadiums, K-12 modernization and new construction, restaurants, transient lodging, and an array of other projects.

Ms. Miles is a recognized expert and ha been a regular presenter for the American Institute of Architects San Diego and Orange County Chapters and has conducted several seminars on accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) including the California Building Code and the Fair Housing Act, Public Right of Way and Public Housing. She leads lunch-and-learns with municipalities, school districts, and architectural businesses. 

Accessibility is a topic of deep personal concern to Ms. Miles.  Her compassion is personal and she is dedicated to ongoing continuing education to see the entire scope of accessibility issues instead of focusing on one aspect.

Ms. Miles served as a member of City of San Diego Accessibility Advisory Board and Secretary for CASI.
