Christine Calabrese has been providing ADA training, technical assistance and subject matter expert services since 1994. She taps her disability civil rights, architectural and public administration expertise to provide a robust set of access compliance services to government entities and the communities they serve. Ms. Calabrese is certified under the California Access Specialist program and holds a Project Management Professional credential. She served as the City of Oakland, CA, ADA Title II Coordinator and directed their ADA transition plan efforts for more than twenty years. From 2006 to 2008, Ms. Calabrese managed a major map-based inventory and condition assessment of over 1,500 linear sidewalk miles in Oakland. She developed and monitored the resulting ADA Curb Ramp Transition Plan, ADA Sidewalk Repair, and On-Street Accessible Parking programs. Most recently, Ms. Calabrese managed Oakland’s fiscal year 2015-17 ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan Project, a top to bottom modernization of the City’s ADA Title II compliance program. Ms. Calabrese is currently in private practice.
