General Services (DGS) is currently hiring two Senior Architects each with unique opportunities

DSA provides design and construction oversight for K–12 schools, community colleges, and 
various other state-owned and state-leased facilities to ensure that they comply with all 
structural, accessibility, and fire and life safety codes. DSA is responsible for promulgating 
regulations for non-residential and public housing accessibility regulations. DSA is also charged 
with administering certification programs for project inspectors, materials testing laboratories, 
and certified access specialists. DSA is headquartered in Sacramento with regional offices in 
Oakland, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

As the Senior Architect/CASp Technical Advisor you will be responsible for:  
• Providing technical oversight of the CASp Program   
• Conducting regulatory development for the California Building Code accessibility 
• Developing, maintaining, and conducting training for the CASp program  
• Acting as technical advisor on California’s accessibility regulations specific to public 
buildings, public accommodations, public housing, and commercial buildings for DSA  
• Representing DSA at public outreach events, meetings, and conferences to provide 
information to stakeholder groups and the public regarding CASp services and State 
accessibility laws   
• Attending project meetings and conducting site visits
