Thank you for being interested in our recent code discussion group on May 20th, 2022. In this session, we will discuss Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) Scoping.
We had such a rich conversation at the last group, we wanted to continue the EVCS discussion! This time, we will shift focus from technical requirements to scoping requirements for EVCS – where required, how many, and what kinds of EVCS. Discussion may also cover scoping choices that can impact technical requirements, exceptions in the technical requirements that may impact scoping choices, and applicability of technically infeasible exceptions.
FORMAT:
For the upcoming CASI Discussion Group, come prepared with your code book, your thinking cap, and a willingness to engage.
Based on feedback from past participants, we will be extending the discussion group time to 1.5 hours.
You will be divided into a breakout group. Each breakout group will have 45 - 60 minutes to discuss a scenario, guided by a CASI Facilitator. Then, we will reconvene as a whole and a representative from each breakout group will have up to 5 minutes to present your gorup's findings and interpretations.

The purpose of the Discussion Group is to connect CASI members to discuss various aspects of the California Building Code and federal accessibility standards.
Bimonthly sessions will be held on May 20, July 15, and September 16, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm PT via ZOOM virtual meeting.
A max of (1) one continuing education credit is offered based on a person's duration of LIVE attendance. Credit may count towards DSA CASp certification and/or CAB architect credit, to be self reported.
The Discussion Groups are available FREE to CASI members only. Registration is required. Webinar information to join the discussion group will be sent out the day prior to the scheduled session date. The discussion groups will be recorded and archived in the member dashboard for those who cannot attend the live session.
