I am a California licensed Architect and a Certified Access Specialist with 8 years of experience in the design and construction industry. I'm also an member with AIA SF Bay Area Young Architects (BAYA). I am passionate about design, architecture and giving back to our community throughout various ways such as volunteering and being a resource to students and emerging professionals, participating in local fundraising events such as Rebuilding Together Peninsula and more recently being an accessibility advocator and educator within my company. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Architect and Master of Architecture degrees.
I'm currently working as a project architect at DES Architects and Engineers. Some of my recent work includes coordination efforts of ground-up construction of tech office buildings campus, office tenant improvements, performing accessibility surveys and remediations for existing buildings (under title III), improving/updating accessibility office standards details, and accessibility training for our staff.
I always strive to learn as much as I can from all sorts of avenues and in this case, having the opportunity to join CASI's board would help me to better understand accessibility issues, how to improve my communication skills with others and this would strengthen me to provide better services to my clients, community and pass forward this knowledge to others.
