In advance of World AIDS Day on December 1, 2020, the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division has issued a statement by Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband reaffirming the Division’s commitment to ensuring that people living with HIV and AIDS can enjoy lives free from stigma and discrimination.  By enforcing civil rights laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), performing outreach, and providing technical assistance to members of the public on their rights and responsibilities under the law, the Department supports dignity and respect for all Americans living with HIV.  To learn more about the Department's work, please visit ada.gov/HIV.

For more information on the ADA, please visit ADA.gov or call the toll-free ADA Information Line at 800-514-0301 (TTY 800-514-0383).
